- What happened? -
Three weeks after Round 2 in Les Menuires, France, the 2016 UCI Trials World Cup headed to Vöcklabruck, Austria, for Round 3 on July 30-31. In the women's competition, Nina Reichenbach of Germany continues to dominate, with her third straight win in as many World Cup rounds, finishing with a low score of just six penalty points in the Final. Tatiana Janickova, of Slovakia, was second with 14 points, and Debi Studer, of Switzerland, third (18 points). Reichenbach continues to lead the overall rankings with a perfect 600 points, followed by Janickova (460). Studer moves up to third from fourth, with 405 points.
In the men's competition, Great Britain’s Jack Carthy took his second consecutive victory in 26" with a low score of 5 penalty points. He was followed by Frenchmen Nicolas Vallee, only one point further back, and Alexis Brunetaud in third, at 11 points. Carthy moves into the lead of the overall standings with 500 points, while Vallee drops to second (460). Veteran French athlete Vincent Hermance moves up to third with 385 points. Abel Mustieles (Spain) tied with countryman Benito Ros at 11 points in the Men's 20", but Mustieles took the win with more clean sections. Ion Areitio made it a clean sweep of the top three spots for Spain in third, at 17 points. Ros continues to lead the overall standings with 520 points, followed by Mustieles at 450 and Areitio at 405.

- What you should know about... Albertville-
This is the second consecutive year that the UCI Trials World Cup has visited Albertville. Located in the southeast of France, it is in the Rhone-Alpes region of the French Alps, south of the Swiss border and the city of Geneva. The town is best known for hosting the 1992 Winter Olympics.

- Focus on Nina Reichenbach -
Nina Reichenbach is currently the number one ranked woman in Trials after winning all three of the UCI World Cup rounds held so far in the 2016 season. The 17-year-old athlete from Germany has six wins this season, including the German Championships. At the 2016 European Championships she was second. In 2015, Reichenbach was third at the UCI World Championships, and finished in the top-3 at two World Cups, as well as finishing second in the European Championships.
