… Les Menuires

This is the first time that the Trials World Cup has visited the ski resort of Les Menuires, France. Les Menuires is located in the Belleville valley of Les Trois Vallées ski region, between Saint-Martin-de-Belleville and Val Thorens, just west of the border with Italy. It hosted the men's slalom alpine ski events at the 1992 Winter Olympics.

Tatiana Janickova finished the 2015 season as the number one ranked woman in the UCI rankings. The 22-year-old Slovakian rider won two rounds of the World Cup last year and took the silver medal at the UCI World Championships, after winning the title the previous two years. She is the defending UCI World Cup Champion (her fourth consecutive title) and European Champion.
