Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) is the International Cycling Federation. Digital and Social Media Coordinator (M/W) – 100%

English/French  


Mission

In charge of the daily management of www.uci.ch and the UCI’s presence within social media.


Responsibilities

  • Manage, monitor and facilitate the development of the www.uci.ch website and UCI social media platforms ensuring that both are constantly up to date, engaging and in line with UCI communications strategy
  • Oversee the development of a new www.uci.ch website and coordinate with appointed external project partners
  • Contribute to the definition and implement strategic plans for digital and social media within the Federation.

Profile       
  • Tertiary education in communications, marketing, advertising, public relations, media studies, business, or related fields
  • 3 to 5 years experience in developing and managing social media and web-based solutions (portfolio required)
  • Proven experience using graphics and web-development tools
  • Advanced knowledge of web/mobile programming (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and databases (PHP and MySQL), basic Adobe Photoshop skills and experience with the most popular Content Management Systems
  • Experience with Google platforms (specifically AdWords and Analytics)
  • Written and spoken fluency in English and French; other languages an advantage
  • Strong SEO background
  • Knowledge in marketing a plus
  • Ability to provide innovative solutions and proactive ideas/concepts
  • Ability to identify key market trends and translate data into ideas
  • Good sense of priorities and organisation, ability to multi-task and respect tight deadlines
  • Accuracy and precision in work process
  • Collaborative, team oriented and demonstrating excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High integrity, dynamic and engaged
  • Passion for cycling and a sound understanding of the industry is desirable.

Assistant (M/W) (100%)      

French / English

 

Job Description    

The Communications Assistant plays an essential role supporting the Communication Service and liaising between the service and its clients.    

He/she organises the « administrative life » of the service and assists the members for certain daily activities, including :

  • Contract and planning coordination
  • Online (web and social media) update and uploading
  • French and English proof reading.    

Profile
  • Federal Certificate of Capacity (CFC) of « Employée de Commerce » or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum 3 years successful experience in the function of assistant, preferably within a communication or marketing service
  • Fluency in French and English (independent drafting in both languages)
  • Advanced skills in the use of MS Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook) ; some knowledge of graphic design and development tools would be a plus
  • Pleasant nature, strong ethics and team spirit
  • Able to work independently and to adapt to a multicultural environment
  • Rigorous, organised, capable of fixing priorities and respecting deadlines
  • Interest for sport.

Graphic Designer (M/W) – 100%

English/French

Mission

In charge of the definition and control of the UCI brand identity and ensuring its consistency across all designs and print material.

Responsibilities

Creation of new designs and artwork (logos, publication designs, banners, etc.) according to the corporate identity of the respective UCI events (including but not limited to World Cups and World Championships).

Revision, modification and constant adaptation of existing documentation and promotional material (visual guidelines, organisation guides, documentation material, commercial sales material/sponsorship dossiers, advertising maps).

Profile

  • Tertiary education in graphic design or equivalent qualification
  • 3 to 5 years experience in graphic design and project management (portfolio required for application)
  • Proficiency and up-to-date industry knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator Photoshop, etc)
  • Proven institutional graphic skills
  • Written and spoken fluency in English and French; other languages an advantage
  • Knowledge and experience of the physical print process from vector illustrations to final printing
  • Sound understanding of known print standards and best practices within the industry
  • Good sense of priorities and organisation, ability to multi-task and respect tight deadlines
  • Accuracy and precision in work process
  • Proactive, collaborative and team oriented
  • Collaborative and demonstrating excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High integrity and dynamic
  • Passion for cycling; a good understanding of the industry is highly desirable.
