UCI donates cycling jerseys to Cameroon
Talented athletes from Cameroon have benefitted from a donation of cycling jerseys sent from Switzerland by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI).
The jerseys, manufactured for the former leaders of the UCI Continental Tours, have been donated to riders from the Ligue du centre, one of the national cycling leagues in Cameroon. The young road cyclists received the gear during the country’s four-stage Tour de l’Espoir, the first event of the 2018 UCI Nations’ Cup U23.
Cameroon had five riders ranked in the race which attracted 15 teams, most of them African, and counted towards qualification for the 2018 Tour de l’Avenir (France) from August 17 to 26.
