Road candidates for the UCI Athletes’ Commission revealed

The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) is pleased to announce the riders who are candidates for a position as road representative on the UCI Athletes’ Commission. One male and one female athlete will be elected to the Commission. Candidates are:

Men
• Bernhard Eisel (AUT)
• Jean-Christophe Péraud (FRA)
• Davide Vigano (ITA)

Women
• Iris Slappendel (NED)
• Elena Valentini (ITA)
• Marianne Vos (NED)

Iris Slappendel, already one of the current members of the UCI Athletes’ Commission, is seeking a new mandate.

All Elite athletes participating in the 2017 UCI Road World Championships in Bergen, Norway, will be eligible to vote. At the event, the vote will be carried out as follows:

• 19 September (14:00-18:00) – at the exit of the Festplassen Mixed Zone, next to the transponder tent,
• 20 September (10:00-12:00) – in the team parking area (Lars Gate Hill), near the medical tent,
• 20 September (13:00-18:00) – at the exit of the Mt Fløyen Mixed Zone, next to the transponder tent,
• 21 September (10:00-13:30) – in the team parking area (Lars Gate Hill), near the medical tent,
• 23 September (11:30-13:00) – near team parking/pathway to rider sign-on,
• 23 September (17:00-18:00) – exit of Mixed Zone,
• 24 September (08:30-09:30) – in Rong (remote start), near team parking/pathway to rider sign-on,
• 24 September (16:00-17:00) – exit of Mixed Zone.

The results of the elections will be communicated via the UCI website.

The members of the Commission will be elected for a term of four years, with the mandate effective from the UCI Congress of 2017 until 2021.
