2015 UCI Para-cycling Track World Championships in Apeldoorn - The best moments
Over the last few days, Apeldoorn in the Netherlands was the epicentre of one of the most exciting UCI Para-cycling Track World Championships in history. 156 riders representing 30 nations competed in the 6th edition of the UCI Para-cycling Track World Championships, which were held for the first time in the Netherlands. The best para-cyclists in the world, a fantastic venue and a very supportive crowd were the perfect elements for an outstanding event.
A few facts about the 2015 UCI Para-cycling Track World Championships:
-1 World Record: 500m (Women C2), Alyda Norbrius
-21 nations won at least 1 of the 87 medals at stake
-Alyda Norbrius is the most crowned athlete of the championships with 3 titles (500m/3km Pursuit/Scratch)
31 World Champion titles were awarded in Apeldoorn. Great Britain topped the nations ranking with 9 medals, including 7 gold. We took the opportunity to follow one of the most successful para-cyclists in the world, Great Britain’s Jody Cundy.
