Mr. Tim Blumenthal (USA)
Tim Blumenthal is the President of the PeopleForBikes Coalition, the U.S. bicycling industry association dedicated to putting more people on bicycles more often and making bike riding better for everyone. Tim also heads the PeopleForBikes Foundation, which includes more than 830,000 individual supporters and backs the acclaimed Green Lane Project to develop protected bikeways. PeopleForBikes was called Bikes Belong from its 1999 launch until its 2013 renaming and rebranding.
Blumenthal is in his 10th year as the head of PFB. He previously served 11 years as the first Executive Director of the International Mountain Bicycling Association and was earlier a top editor at Bicycling Magazine and VeloNews. Tim served as a writer and advisor for NBC's cycling coverage of seven Summer Olympic Games (1984-2008). He was inducted into the Mountain Bike Hall of Fame in 2002 and was recently selected for the Steering Board of the World Cycling Alliance.
