Anti-Doping Control
Anti-Doping Control

As Signatory of the World Anti-Doping Code, the UCI believes that it leads the way in the protection of clean athletes. The independence of its anti-doping activities is fully safeguarded and the robustness and effectiveness of its program are confirmed and continuously enhanced.

The Athlete Biological Passport - ABP

The Athlete Biological Passport (ABP) is an individual, electronic record for each rider, in which the results of all doping tests collected in the framework of this programme over a period of time are collated.

Help ensure cycling is clean

For everybody to have a fair chance of succeeding in their chosen sport, that sport must be clean at all levels: from athletes, through to their supporting staff and administration.

Whereabouts Program

The UCI Out-of-Competition Testing Program, managed by the Cycling Anti-Doping Foundation (CADF), constitutes a crucial prong to ensure that our sport and competitors stay on a level playing field. Whereabouts information is an indispensable tool to allow Anti-Doping Organisation (ADO) to locate athletes at any time and to conduct test on a no advance notice basis, which is a key element of an effective anti-doping program.

Therapeutic Use Exemptions

A TUE is special permission to use a prohibited substance or method for a legitimate medical condition.

Medical monitoring

The medical monitoring concerns road riders in Professional Teams (UCI WorldTeams and UCI Professional Continental Teams) and some athletes coming from the following disciplines : BMX, mountain bike and track.
