UCI Continental Circuits: publication of the list of UCI Continental teams automatically invited

Description:

The International Cycling Union (UCI) has today published a fictitious ranking for the UCI Continental Teams registered in 2011, established on the basis of points obtained by the best riders among their current members during the last season (2009-2010).

This fictitious ranking, which is a true reflection of the sporting value of the 2011 UCI Continental Teams, has allowed to establish which formations will receive automatic invitations to events on their respective Continental Circuits.

The organisers of all the non-European races (classes HC, 1 and 2) on the UCI Continental Circuits will be obliged, in accordance with art 2.1.007 bis of the UCI Regulations, to invite the three best teams from their continent (according to the classification mentioned).

As for organisers of class 2 UCI Europe Tour races, they will have to invite the three best European Continental Teams.
 
The fictitious classification published today should not be confused with the Continental Rankings that are calculated on the 25th of each month.

3. D’angelo & Antenucci – Nippo (ITA)

UCI Africa Tour
1. MTN Qhubeka (RSA)
2. Team Bonitas (RSA)

UCI America Tour
1. Movistar Team (COL)
2. Gobernacion De Antioquia – Indeportes Antiquia (COL)
3. EPM – UNE (COL)

UCI Asia Tour
1. Tabriz Petrochemical Team (IRI)
2. Azad University (IRI)
3. Giant Kenda Cycling Team (TPE)

UCI Oceania Tour
1. Pureblack Racing (NZL)
2. Genesys Wealth Advisers (AUS)
3. Drapac (AUS)
